Parchment United Methodist Church windows, 2007
one of eight units
private commission
I had the wonderful opportunity to complete a commission I had begun to design 23 years before and combine it with making a beautiful memorial to my Mother at the church in which she was a founding member. The church had been burned in 2005 and they needed to redesign most of the building, including the sanctuary. These windows (there are eight units of six windows) line the sides of the sanctuary and provide nice light in the lower end of the room. They were originally a plain dark amber glass so they are so much brighter than they were before.
