Big Creek Sycamore, 2009

charcoal on paper, 24 " x 18"

Right in the middle of Big Creek is a huge Sycamore. I was climbing from rock to rock to get myself to the perfect spot to draw it. Everything was turning Fall colors and this big tree was a brilliant yellow right in the middle of it all. I took several photos and did a big sketch that I worked from to make this charcoal drawing.
