Side Creek, 2010
oil on canvas board, 20" x 16"
private collection
I love to explore along the sides of the main creeks in Greenbrier Cove. I spend a lot of time looking at the big creeks and rocks but then eventually I start to meander back into the woods. Some of my favorite spots are the still waters where the high waters have filled these low areas and created reflection pools. This was back in the woods showing off the camopy and sky with some early Fall leaves adding color. It was such a peaceful spot and I tried to capture that sense of wonder with the main creek in the lighted background rushing by.
